Oxy’s European Vacation: Part I in Paris
What an experience I have had. You know I always think of travel as education and I have learned so much in such a short little time. Hard to believe it’s almost been a week since I left NYC, so lets begin. Oh also very sorry for the lack of blog, I know its dissapointing but I did get sick along the way.
I land in Paris and upon arrival meet your boy Cuizinier for icecream and of course $hopping.
Well your bia Oxy is on a budget so we don’t make much progress with extracuricular spending but Louis Vuitton and Colette were beyond beautiful. It was time to meet with my boy Heron who just finished his semester at Parsons Paris.
It was great to see him although we talk pretty often via AIM so I already knew most of his deal, just hadn’t seen dude in months. Always refreshing when you reconnect and the friendship is the same as when you last left each other.
So Amanda and Aaron were performing at the Rex Club and the place was packed.
I met new friends and reconnected with old ones. The place was packed and drinks weren’t holding their weight in liquor so getting drunk was out of the question. They actually measure out like a tiny thimble of alcohol for each drink. Its mad annoying. Amanda was great but the sound was kinda wacky at times. She did her thing and then put me on blast!
I did my song “Oxy’s Anthem” which I’ve heard there are copies rotating around Turntable Lab if you can find one to cop, please do OR try here.
Teki soon became my favorite gaurdian angel when I began to feel sick on Thursday and missed my flight to London because of it.
This man saved my health and restored my energy completely so I was 100% ready for Friday night at Le Triptyque with Bonde Do Role and Diplo. The entire French family was there it was incredible. The energy was hotter than hell, the ceiling was dripping all night. Cuizi performed a couple songs and turned the crowd out. Tacteel, Diplo, Orgasmic, Para 1, Tido and more Djed all night, it was unreal. From the photo below you can see the airhorn was in full effect, I was even blowing my rave whistle all night so you know it was outlandish in the club. It was also my first time to see Diplos new project from Brasil and they were wild as ever. Say like an Xray Specs from Brazilian Baile Funk roots.
I miss you Paris! Thank you for an amazing time!
