So, last Monday Ms. Cottontail and her cohort Mama Kitten went to the oh-so-fabulous International Beauty Show here in New York. They uncovered the usual, the unusual, the weird and the wonderful in beauty and nails. Frankly, I was jealous I didn’t get to go and soak in detox tubs, get tinsel braided into my hair, wear a bra made of stickers or have my nails done by a chick with LED lights built into her 4 inch claws. Really, it sounds like a science fiction movie about the things women do in the future to stay fresh. But the future is NOW, bunnies! Fantasy was a reality at the Javits Center last week and Kat and Rox were there to document the cray cray-ness. Check out their reviews, flicks and videos on MISS Crew’s brand new site! It leads to tears and tears lead to headaches and running noses expelling mucus and red, puffy, swollen eyes and that is just not attractive. The Cottontails are about bringing joy, fun, humor and other beautiful things into your life, thus the high quality license plates you see pictured below.

I don’t live to or love to…but it is enjoyable.

Those are only a few of the gems encountered on the streets of New York. Dogshit, wildflowers growing in cracks of cement, high fashion, blinging grill pieces, smiles from strangers, and the rare penny facing upward are also among them. Buttttt vanity plates? Well, they’re the tops.

The answer to your summer transportation needs…. let me help!

I started to go through all my old pictures to prove that this Chrome GT BMX I’m raffling off on Thursday at Plan B (339 E. 10th St.) is in fact mine. The raffle of the bike is my friend Juans amazing idea! (Thank you School Boy!!!!)

I did find a few bike pics but I went into the party pics and found a ton of classics (from the days of Wednesdays @ Stereo & Thursdays @ 323). Anyways, I got this beautiful Chrome GT when I lived in Philadelphia post 9/11. I went to a city-wide yard sale in Metuchen, New Jersey with my girl Lauren Durgin. I was beyond broke back then so even the thought of paying $50 for an old BMX I would have to hook up was out of the question. Turns out, we went back to the house at the end of the sale around dusk and the bike was in the garbage. I took it back to Philly, put new tires, rims, pedals & handles on it and the thing was brand spankin’ new. Not sure how many miles I put on this thing but it’s been over many a bridge when I used to live in Brooklyn and ride to the city. It’s been sitting in the basement of my building for the last 3 years. It’s time to say goodbye, I’m growing up. But, I’m going to miss this baby.

The wild days of Stereo…our Wednesday party was called Whip It for a reason. I promoted here with every cool kid in NYC… MisShapes, Aron the Don, LOLA, Sophia Lamar and a ton of others I’m forgetting. The summer of 2006 in NYC was epic because of this party. Memories!!

This was a fashion week party that I DJed for Parisian super brand - Colette. It was so amazing that D&G dressed me in vintage D&G! Notice Heron Preston & Busy P behind us. We don’t even care.
