Ms. Roxy Cottontail needs an intern!! Who is Roxy and what does she do, you might ask?
Roxy Summers has been active in New York City’s downtown nightlife scene for over 4 years. She has branded herself as Oxy Cottontail, a leading creative mind in New York’s downtown circle. She has also garnered global recognition for her parties, special events and DJing. She is in influential tastemaker of current popular culture.
What does she need help with?
Roxy hosts and promotes 2 weekly parties in the East Village and West of Soho and will be starting more soon! She seeks assistance with the management of parties and promotional materials.
What kind of qualifications do I need to work for Roxy?
1. You must be passionate about whatever you do. Have a sense of humor. You must be able to work hard and keep up with Roxy’s ever so busy schedule. People skills are a must. “Sociable” is the middle name of this business.
2. You must be computer literate and knowledgeable + skilled in the following areas: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and comfortable updating a website and blog. *Your own laptop is a big plus.
3. Promotion duties will include updating Roxy’s sponsors with photographs of all OXY events, delivering flyers to downtown boutiques, media offices & restaurants, scanning press, updating social networking sites and blog and random Cottontail related errands.
What can I get out of this opportunity?
You will expand your knowledge of Marketing and PR techniques, event planning and coordination, extensive contact lists and nightlife VIP treatment.
