A splash of liquor and foxy ladies

Hello sunshine! This weekend our tails got a little wet while we splashed around in Foxwoods pool at MGM Grand. It was nonstop fun! Jaw dropping sets, perfect weather and cottontails galore made for a successful trip out to Connecticut.

Dancing [and Crying] on My Own

Wowza, bunnies, get ready for an amazeballs music video. Emotion. Dance. Ecstasy. Yes, you guessed it, today’s all about ROBYN. Although the video has been out for some time now, I finally got around to watching her music video for her beautifully tragic song, “Dancing On My Own.” I say beautifully tragic because the song is, duh, beautiful and tragic. It’s beautiful because the beat and vocals are just absolutely effortless, but tragic because it’s about heartbreak. The video perfectly blends the two to create an emotional powerhouse of visuals and sounds, especially towards the end where I can swear Robyn is building up some tears, or maybe I’m imagining it because my vision is blurred because I have teared up every time I watch the video, but that’s another story!

I don’t buy music videos off iTunes that often, obviously because YouTube exists and this boy is constantly BROKE, BUT I had to buy the video because it is just that beautiful. What I love most is how simple it is, flipping between Robyn standing alone in a club full of entranced dancers and her in a sound stage behind lights and speakers. Sure, Lady GaGa makes inspiring videos, but there are a ton of elements that add up to make it noteworthy; however, the fact that Robyn can cause such an emotional stir to the viewer with such a simple concept is absolutely brilliant. A Midsummer Night’s Recovery

This week’s pretty quiet at the Cottontail haus, but hey girl hey it’s been a crazy summer, so get some rest for the remainder of this lovely, sun-soaked season. BUTT, before you shut your eyes and induce yourself into a coma for the week, let’s do it up tonight at SWAY for 24 Kings, courtesy of our Mama Cottontail and King Texas. Need For Speed… racing that is

How could a night go wrong when great music, video games and three bars are combined under one roof? At the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit event held at Manhattan Classic Car Club there was plenty to be entertained by. As one waited in the line that wrapped around the building you could enjoy the sights of Lamborgini’s that were on display. Inside the fun begins with a photo-op that was a backdrop meant to make you look like a convict, play Need For Speed on one out of the eight available game consoles, or grab a drink to bring to the dance floor while enjoying Roxy’s two hour set.

With a guest list donned with the names of Lil Jon, Fabolous and The Clipse (Pusha T & Malice) the event was a total success all around. If you’re itching to catch a sneak peak of NFS Hot Pursuit before it hits store in November, then be sure to sign up quickly for one of their next six events. The next tour location will be in Chicago on August 5th at Lollapalooza. If you missed this night, you’re simply at a loss and we’re giving you a ticket for missing this stop!
