Narcissister

Thursday, February 17th, 2011
Narcissister is a performance artist like no other. She does shots with this eerily interesting mask/mannequin head that really has you second guessing your eyes and wondering if what you’re seeing is real or a figment of your imagination. She also makes these amazing collages that may just wake up your sexual senses. I’ll let you guys see for yourself though….

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All made up of Tyler The Creator, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt, & Hodgy Beats are an interesting California based group that are really hard to classify.
odd-future1.png
Their music is an eclectic compilation of Cali ease, emo, rap….if that makes sense. Shit honestly I don’t even know how to categorize them. All I know is the shit is hot!!! A friend of mine put me on to Tyler The Creator’sYonkers” video & its quite frankly one of the best videos I’ve seen this year (aside from Cee-lo’s “Bodies”which I’ll tell you guys about in a second). The group has seen an unexpected burst of fame first, by doing a show here in NY at Santos the other night & second, by performing on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show yesterday. Watch that performance here and you can also see the “Yonkers” video by clicking on the picture below. In conclusion whatever their “sound” is it is DEFINITELY the sound of the future, however “odd” it may be ;)

“Afrojack receives Grammy nomination (alongside co-remixer David
Guetta) for remix of Madonna’s “Revolver”.The rumors are true and we can finally officially confirm that Nick
van de Wall, A.K.A Afrojack, is nominated for his first Grammy Award. The remix, done for Madonna’s song “Revolver,” was penned with
David Guetta in 2010.

Released by Warner Brothers Music, the club version charted
prominently and received heavy airplay. It was one of the standout
commercial dance crossover hits of 2010.

Fans noticed immediately that Afrojacks name was mysteriously missing
from the credits of the ‘One Love Club Remix’ on the Grammy site,
when the nominations came through. After some serious back and forth
between management and the Grammys, word came in on February 7th, 2011
that Afrojack would be credited properly for his work on the remix,
and his Grammy nomination would be officially recognized.

“We’ve added Afrojack as a nominee for the Madonna remix…

Best and good luck to Afrojack on Sunday!” Sean Riley - Grammy
Awards

“It was hard not to be able to say anything about this”, says
Afrojack, “but we had to wait on the Grammy’s come to back to us.
And now, I guess its official! I would like to thank David for asking
me to collaborate with him on this remix in the first place, and for
his help in getting my role in this remix recognized.”

David Guetta and Afrojack have worked together on many high profile
remixes and original productions in the past year and have several new
projects in the pipeline.

Afrojack is nominated with David Guetta in the

“Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical” category

The Grammy Awards air February 13, 2011

Watch on CBS 8PM ET/PT”
