Meet The New Faces Part 1
Tuesday, October 18th, 2011It’s CMJ week and the Cottontail fam has some very special treats in store for you. This Friday we’ll be at DROM for the Official Bunnyjawn Showcase
so over the next few days we’ll be introducing you to all the new (and I’m sure familiar) faces.
1. Freaky Franz
a few days ago “Franz The Freak” (a proud Columbus, Ohio native) released “The Freaky Tales“
(which you can download here) and this Friday you can come see him perform this (and more) live!
2. Here in NY we’ve got our very own Master of (Freaky) Ceremonies and that’s none other than Lil’ Friday (please don’t forget the HOE!).
Known to get any party started whether it be by dancing, performing or both whenever he’s around you’re hard pressed to believe its any other day but a Friday (hence the name). With an unmatched energy and songs like “Junglepussy” you don’t wanna miss his performance at Drom. 3. You may have seen her recently on the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher holding it down for the ladies Miss Nitty Scott
has been making her way around the scene with her lyrical prowess. She is in her own words “the last boombox and dislikes being referred to as a “vagina with a mic”. You can see this spitfire live in person this Friday but for now check out her video for “Auntie Maria’s Crib” off her debut “Popsicles & Doobies” mixtape
4. 4Fun. For the past year this set of young gentlemen which includes artist 40 Thousand
have been making noise on the downtown NY scene. If he’s not performing live along Kreayshawn he’s living that “#locolife” and promoting tracks from his debut “OG Bobby Johnson” mixtape which is due out October 30th. Check 40 performing his track “Groupie Bitch” live at Fummerjam
5. Rounding out tonight’s line-up is another female holding it down for lyrically gifted people with labias. Hers is a familiar face. You may have first seen her on MTV/Road Rules Challenge, but miss Poison Ivory
is alot more than just eye candy.
She’s one of the forces behind Lipstick & Liquor Bottles and this Friday will be blessing us with her linguistic expertise. Check her out on Miguel’s “All I Want Is You” remix
