If You Won’t listen to My Words, Listen to My Dancing Feet!!!

Business first: HAPPY HOLIDAY!

4/20 originated in San Rafael, California in the 1970’s. A bunch of HS students would meet at 4:20pm (after detention ended) and let the herb carry their troubles away. It has since involved into a celebration of cannabis and counterculture that usually coincides with Earth Day, fitting? I think so. That’s one version of the story anyway and if you didn’t know, now you know, you know. And now for the fun stuff…If you haven’t watched Eastbound and Down, you need to get on it. Comedic genuis Danny McBride puts in work on this HBO sitcom. He plays defunct Major League Baseball player, Kenny (fucking) Powers. Kenny Powers is stuck living with his brother and eagerly wants to be back on top where he’ll be “getting drunk on the reg, fuckin’ good times on the reg, yachts on the reg, sex on the reg, basically all the good shit that men fantasize about.” In this clip, you see Kenny try to romance his HS sweetheart with his stellar dance moves (unfortunately the excstacy gets in the way of his coordination).

Danny McBride also graces the silver screen in the unparalleled flick that goes by the name of Pineapple Express. If you haven’t seen this gem you’re probably living under a rock and that saddens me. Luckily, you can watch this clip and see what you’re missing out on.

If after viewing one or both of these you aren’t smitten and/or do not want to see more of McBride’s work, you probably have no heart (check your pulse, are you even breathing?) or no sense of humor (unfortunately there’s no remedy for that one :sigh:).

X’s and O’s
