After what seems like eons in bunny years, Roxy is back from back to back tours to rest her sweet cottontail for a brief moment here in New York before kicking things into 2011 gear! But, don’t get it twisted- clearly, the best way to celebrate her prodigal return is to get downnnn! That’s right, sweet lop ears, and tonight is the big night you’ve all been waiting for! It’s Sneaker Pimps New York!!! And Not only will Roxy and Jasmine Solano be throwing down but so will titans Redman, Rick Ross & The Lox, just to name a few. Get involved and make sure your kicks are fresh for this one! And, just a reminder that the venue has changed and all the sneakery goodness will be going down at Touch NYC at 240 W 52nd Street! And speaking of fresh, Monday the 6th will mark the last Rice and Peas of 2010! And to send our favorite reggae party into the new year, we’ve got an open vodka bar from 11-12, a Polite in Public photo booth and Max Glazer, Gravy and the whole R&P fam will be out helping celebrate Micro Don’s born day.

Annnnnnd, speaking of being born… next week marks the week of birthday madness for our very own Pebbles van Peebles. And, if you know anything about her you know she will not let a birthday slip by without teasing it out in a major way. In that vein, Wednesday the 8th at Gallery Bar Eli Escobar, Jubilee, Rox and Bonnie Danger will spin the night away with Carrie Wilds, Shyvonne, Roxy and Pebbles herself getting on the mic! Look out for art installations by Kareem Black, Leif McIlwaine, Trybe and Leggs. Plus, The Culture of Me will be there to capture the madness, get involved. Annnd the fun doesn’t stop there, clearly. Thursday the 9th Pebbles kicks off the Spring Street Derelicts’ new 90s grunge, rock and dance extravaganza: Reality Bites. Michna will be spinning the jams and Nicky Digital will be snapping away so make sure to wear your grungiest best! If you wear Doc Martens, a flannel or a babydoll dress you get to skip the $2 cover annnnnd if you wear more than one you get a free shot at the bar. Yeah. That reality definitely doesn’t bite. Womp womp. Get excited for the debauchery this week, kiddies. You know we are.
