What Have You Done for Me Lately? A New PVP Column

What have I done for you lately? Well I started this column and I’m following up with some ill shit for youz.

A few here and theres a few videos and things to think about. You know. Za da wow! Get involved. PS - I’m gonna throw in another Book of Mormon plug here (you’re welcome Matt & Trey, I know you need the help, especially from me), but since I wrote that last WHYDFML about how the boys took home 9 Tonys for their freshman Broadway attempt,

I downloaded the soundtrack off iTunes and have been listening to it nonstop. In fact it’s on right now. Yeah. Hasa Diga, biatch! Now… back to the lecture at hand.

5) This crazy bitch has a pool in her house in fucking Chelsea. Yeah.

Picture 1.png

It’s an $11 million townhouse on 15th street with a pool in the living room. Damn son, if this was the 70s the amount of super mega roided out chlorine that you would need to kill all the body fluids and drug residue in this fucker would probably cost more than the ConEd bill each month.

Picture 31.png

It’s like your own personal Le Bain without the awkward, crusty nudity. Although, it’s probably just as awkward and crusty when this lady’s in the pool. No wonder her dog freaks out while she madly claps at it. It’s just working out all the awful memories it can’t otherwise suppress on that plastic fish.

.
PS - my hate on this one is purely jealousy fueled. Duh. Who wants to lend me $11 million? You’re totally invited to every pool party from here to eternity…
.

Maybe the only way to get me to McCarren Park. Seriously, this is gonna be sick. I will gladly wade through bad tattoos, fixed gear bikes, awkward haircuts and ill-fitting hats to get to this shit. Another ill idea from the maniacs at Red Bull, they’ve gather 64 inventors on 16 teams to get inspired by New York and make something insane in 72 hours after the theme for the contest is announced. On July 10th from 3-7PM you will be able to view their creations at McCarren Park. Just judging from the video of the… judges… hah! it seems like the coolest geeks in the world are about to get down, extreme Red Bull style. From robot nerds, to engineers and wacky mechanics, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. Plus, I’m definitely going to be stalking this guy:

That’s right, Flash Hopkins, father of Burning Man. Craze balls indeed. As he says here, “Who needs breaks when you’re havin fun?” I think this may be the new moto to my daily life. Thanks, Flash.

.
3) Sons of Anarchy on Netflix.

Picture 72.png

Yes. In case you couldn’t tell from last week, my TV tastes verge on the masculine to quite masculine tip and this past week I’ve gotten very involved with a fictional bike gang out of California, good old SAMCRO.

Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original. I won’t lie and tell you I didn’t think the president of the gang was named Sam Crow for the first two episodes. Because I did. Amazingly enough, this FX production goes a mile a minute and the acting is first class. Also, big men on bikes is always a plus. Also, Katey Sagal.

Also, lots of guns, dirty jokes, dirty cops and revenge. It’s definitely a dish best served with a lot of engine revving. Get the fuck involved with The Mayans, The Nords, Gemma, Clay, Jax and Half Sack. You’ll thank me later, brother.
.
2) BMW Guggenheim Lab on my fucking block.

Picture 81.png

The good folks at the Guggie have teamed up with BMW to challenge the people of nine cities worldwide to come up with interesting, aesthetically appealing ways to make our lives in our cities the best they can be. The lab opens August 3rd, on my block!!, at 33 East 1st Street, and closes October 6th. This cycle of the project is pointed at Confronting Comfort and asks us to think as a collective lab partner to architects, scientists, and designers to figure out ways to maximize our urban setting socially and environmentally. Should be pretty ill. Come check it out and say hi. You might even catch a glimpse of 1st Street’s own G. Pickle Sanchez.

.
1) The possibility of gay marriage being legalized in New York on the eve of Pride.

gay-marriage-ny.jpg

Supposedly the vote goes down tonight. We’ll see what happens in the morning. Either way, Pride on Sunday will be a celebration, a continuing fight for our right to love openly and honestly and a shit load of fun. Enjoy your weekend, kiddos and look out for next week’s edition of WHYDFML.

Amaze.

xoxo
