Once upon a time three little bunnies were tired and stressed and in danger of freezing their little cottontails off. So, in honor of 2 of their births, they up and hopped a plane to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Candy Cottontail’s bright idea turned out to be one of the best sojourns of my little rabbit life. We played, we tanned, we napped, we drank, we celebrated, we swam, we ate, we slept, we laughed. It was pretty much an epic vacation. Although, the temperature shock of being in 88 degree weather then hopping off the plane back to New York Friday night and feeling the 20 degree weather on our little bum bums almost did us in. Anyway, we wanted to share a few pictures of our amazing trip with you all. Enjoy, and make sure if you ever find yourself in Mexico, that you stop by the Riu Palace Mexico and say hello to the wonderful staff. They decorated our room with balloons and fruit, gave us a beautiful book and sang to Candice and I at dinner in honor of our birrrzzdays! All in all, a super duper win. Et voila!

This was the night we arrived, on Candy’s bday. Miraculously, there was a Michael Jackson tribute show with a real, live Mexican Michael impersonator. We met him after the show. It was life changing.

Ze beach. There were usually more half naked German men around, but you get the picture.

The lobby bar, the site of many a margarita downed. Frozen or flavored, salted or on the rocks. We did not discriminate.

Speaking of which… here’s the surprise birthday cake the amazing staff brought out to me on my born day! Sooo sweet. Literally.

This was our breakfast every day. The buffet was mind boggling. The kiwi would knock you on your kiwi. Get involved.

Me and my wonderful sister with our toes in the ocean. This night was a total riot.

It may have been a riot because of the company, the locale or perhaps the worm in the bottom of this bottle of tequila. Or the fact that one of us almost drank him. Bets? Anyone?

Why the sad faces? The van that picked us up to take us to the airport was pulling up as I shot this. A case of the sads all around.

And the picture you’ve all been waiting for, the elusive chipmunkcat and her little cub, nursing outside of our balcony one morning. Ah, the tropics. FYI, ask me about chipmukcat, aka, sereque or agouti, I’ve been doin le research.
