Meet The New Faces Part 3

Thursday, October 20th, 2011
With a Heineken open bar from 11pm-12am, $3 Svedka drinks and Ninjasonik its quite possible that someone will get pregnant tonight so don’t forget to RSVP at CMJ@Bunnyjawn.com!
1. Their newest mixtape “No Swords No Masks
Picture 114.png
Brings just as much as any of their other work. If there Warriors inspired video “Moshpit” (featuring Party Squad) is any indication of what tonight will be like I suggest an early arrival ;)
Picture 32.png
2. No doubt you’ve seen her spinning alongside the Ninja’s or maybe Wiz Khalifa, or Beyonce or EVERYONE! Because Jasmine Solano is EVERYWHERE!
Picture 43.png
Whether she’s on stage playing the tunes that get you moving or spittin’ her own lines riddled with sassy tales of female empowerment the girl is hard to miss. Quite easy on the eyes and a refreshing burst of energy in a male dominated industry. I’m hoping tomorrow she’ll hit us with one of these hot 16’s that she spit for the new “That’s Rocawear” campaign
Picture 52.png
3. Get Busy Committee sounds like a group that’s serious about partying. The three man LA based group who’s cited influences ranging from Eazy E to BBD will be in the building tomorrow. You can check out their debut album “Uzi Does It
Picture 63.png
and their first music video “Opening Ceremony
Picture 74.png
4. Haruka Salt is about as hot as the music she plays.
Picture 84.png
If you’ve been to Brooklyn Stable on a Saturday night for “Party Animal” then you know exactly what I’m talking about. If not then you can see for yourself tonight ;)
Picture 92.png
Fat Tony does not only make good music but makes good music for a good cause. Did you know that in 2008 he participated in a charity concert to raise money for HIV? His debut album “RABDARGAB” was so dope that a screwed and chopped version “SCREWDARGAB” had to be released earlier this year. You can see in his video “Home” how he gets the crowd going
Picture 115.png
Well kiddies I bid you adieu. I need my beauty rest because as you can see I’ll need all my energy for tonight. Hopefully I’ve helped you get acquainted with a few familiar (or not so familiar faces) and you’ll be ready to rage comfortably :) until then……

BUNNYJAWN CMJ NOW W/ OPEN BAR!!!

Thursday, October 20th, 2011
The vision came to me clearly 1 afternoon hanging out in my carrot patch. Beef approached me through the thicket and said, “Roxy you made all this happen where is your label?” So in that carrot patch I rolled a round a couple time, scratched my head with my pink paw and said. “Beef, where is my label?” So that’s how the story goes and BUNNYJAWN was born: 10-21-2011.
However the guest list is almost for full tonight butttt, we have other parties this weekend! On Saturday night in Brooklyn at Brooklyn Stable with DJ Haruka Salt (she slays!) and Sunday daytime for foodies & lushes, Eat Yo! Brunch at the Yotel - $35 Unlimited food & drink, 11am - 4pm. Mr. Patrick Duffy brought together the most magical mix of music & people. I suggest you attend and chow down with me & the bunnies! Sake Sangria is my fav!

Meet The New Faces Part 2

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

We press on today with a few more talented tails that will be hopping all the way to Drom for the BUNNYJAWN Showcase tomorrow night at 11PM! 1. What waddles, goes “quack, quack” and makes cool music? That would be Ducky. DuckyTrixBath.jpeg

San Francisco native and child prodigy (she was dj’ing around San Fran by the age of 16) will be in the building Friday to tantalize us with her melodic voice. You can get in the mood by checking out her two newest tracks “Killing Time” and “Your Ever After“. She also has beautiful, creative videos for “Dust” here and “Wind Up Bird” here! Picture 51.png

2. This mans resume is so long that I could write a whole page on just him but enter Terrordactel! l.jpg

A producer/DJ/jack of all trades. I’m sure you’ve seen his name on a “Fog Life” flyer with Mama Cottontail or sometimes he DJs with her! He makes the kind of music that automatically makes your body move in a club. His “Trunkstep” Mixtape & Movement with Cobra Krames can be heard here: avatars-000003059833-jvwogu-crop.jpg

3. Zuzuka Poderosa is a babe that does badass baile funk and knows the importance of shaking your Cottontail! We think she’s quite Nasty (in the good way)! zuzuka-poderosa.jpg
Her track “Ai Voce Gosta” (which means “I Love You” in Portuguese) starts off with the Eurythmic’s “Sweet Dreams” and then goes into that familiar Brazilian sound that makes u wanna just shake everything on your body. You can see the video for it by clicking the booty below… Picture 73.png On Friday Zuzuka will share the BUNNYJAWN stage with her super bad & seriously sexy DJ, Valissa.

4. Yes, Japanther is headlining our BUNNYJAWN CMJ showcase alongside the beautiful flow & poetry of GRIMACE! Some people go to school and form a punk rock band and that’s just what Ian Vanek and Matt Reilly did with Japanther. On stage, they each play their instruments hard, cassette tapes with care and sing through telephones (so rad). Japanther have toured nine times and have been featured in The New York Times, Vice and New York magazine. I just hope they perform “Radical Businessman” so that I can scream “1,2,3,4 fuck the cops!” at the top of my lungs :) Picture 83.png
